Mt. Defiance Apple Brandy
Mt. Defiance hard cider is used to make our apple brandy.
Using a copper pot still, the cider is distilled twice, then aged in used whiskey barrels for over two years. After aging, the brandy is cut to 80 proof before bottling. Apple notes balanced with cocoa are apparent on the nose. Barrel aging contributes oak, cinnamon and vanilla flavors to the pallet. Chocolate flavors return through a medium-length finish.
